Dick’s Narrows Guidance after Sequential Improvement

A better than expected 5.1% comp sales decline combined with total revenues that were off 5% to $3,112,419,000 in the second quarter from $3,274,842,000, led DKS to narrow its full-year guidance as it now expects sales to drop less than previously expected.

Caleres Profits Rise, But Sales Drop at Famous

Net income was up 37% to $51,178,000 from $37,396,000 on revenue that increased 9% to $738,330,000 from $675,531,000, but Famous Footwear revenues ticked down 4% to $436,375,000 from the prior year’s all-time record $453,649,000.

Anta H1 Sales Grow Double Digits despite Lockdowns

Anta Sports Products’ net income attributable to shareholders slipped 7% to RMB 3,588 million ($542.3 mm) in the first half, from RMB 3,840 million last year, on a 14% increase in first half revenues to RMB 25,965 million ($3,924.6 mm) from RMB 22,812 million.

The Chinese sportswear brand’s net income attributable to shareholders increased 37% to RMB 550.9 million ($83.3 mm) in the first half from RMB 401.4 million, as revenues grew 18% to RMB 3,653.8 million ($552.3 mm) from RMB 3,107.1 million.

Simms Fishing Products Acquisition Closes

Vista Outdoor completed its acquisition of Bozeman, MT-based Simms Fishing Products for $192.5 million, which includes roughly $20 million in future tax benefits, and is expected to add approximately $110 million in net sales.

Lululemon D.C. Store Staff Drops Petition to Unionize
