Helped by broad-based increases in all categories except outdoor, along with a big boost from Peloton, the global equipment market increased 3.5% in 2019 to an estimated $83,459 million from $80,599 million.
Industry performance continues to tick up while long term confidence remains soft as 68% of companies reported a sequential sales increase for June compared to the prior month, according to an update of the SFIA’s survey of 228 vendors, retailers and others.
Net income slipped 4% to €28.6 million ($31.5 mm) from €29.7 million in the first half of 2019, as revenues grew 4% to €676.9 million ($745.5 mm) from €650.8 million.
Net loss at the Finnish fishing brand was €3.8 million ($4.2 mm) for the first half, against a profit of €7.4 million last year on 17% lower sales at €117.1 million ($129.0 mm) down from €141.2 million.
