SFIA: Industry Execs Don’t Expect Recovery Until 2021


Industry performance continues to tick up while long term confidence remains soft as 68% of companies reported a sequential sales increase for June compared to the prior month, according to an update of the SFIA’s survey of 228 vendors, retailers and others. Sales were flat or improved sequentially for 82% of respondents, with 30%, the largest group, reporting a 1-25% gain. Fourteen percent say that sales are up over 75% month-over-month. The number of respondents projecting FY2020 sales will eclipse 2019’s doubled since May, up to 21% over 10%. The largest group at 32% still expects sales for the year ...
