Faring even worse than the athletic footwear market, branded athletic apparel sales dropped 10.8% to $86,709 million in the pandemic year from $97,181 in 2019, with all but four companies posting a decline.
Retail/rental revenue soared 130% to $24,275,000 in the final fiscal quarter ended July 31, against just $10,538,000 last year when many resorts were closed.
Bankrupt SQBG received court approval to auction off its brands next month, with an Oct. 25 deadline to submit qualified bids, and an auction on Oct. 28, if multiple bids are received.
