June 24, 2019 NRF Study Details Tariff Impact on Consumers
As hearings continue on the List 4 Chinese tariffs, the National Retail Federation released a study that concluded the imposition of 25% additional duties would cost Americans $4.4 billion more for apparel, $2.5 billion more for footwear, $3.7 billion more for toys and $1.6 billion more for household appliances. The Chinese apparel and footwear brand said its first half 2019 net income would be at least RMB440 million ($65.2 mm), up from RMB268.6 million for the corresponding period last year.
