Sporting goods/hobby/book and music store adjusted sales returned to growth in June, increasing 3% to $9,178 million from $8,939 million, according to Commerce Dept. data, despite fears that inflation would hurt retail sales.
The Eager Beavertons unveiled their latest retail concept store called Nike Style, a three-story, 24,000-sq.-ft. location, on Jul. 15 in Seoul, South Korea, with plans to launch a second door in Shanghai this fall.
The running-focused Chinese sportswear brand’s second quarter revenues grew low-teens year-over-year, led by approximately 40% growth in e-commerce sales.
Nautilus said membership in its personalized connected fitness platform increased 13% in the quarter ended June 30, topping 360,000 despite seasonal slowness, and is on track to hit the 500,000 member target by the end of FY23 next Mar.
The outdoor brand will pay nearly $55,000 for violating Seattle’s scheduling law, the Seattle Times reported, because they failed to post current and former retail employees’ schedule with enough prior notice.
