Net income declined by 41% in the final quarter to $109,657,000 from $184,454,000 in Q4 2020, on a 9% increase in revenues to $1,529,205,000 from $1,403,766,000.
Net income from continuing operations spiked 438% to BRL 238.5 million ($42.7 mm) from BRL 44.3 million, up 391% to BRL 303.1 million including BRL 64.6 million from discontinued operations after November’s sale of Osklen.
Newell’s Outdoor & Recreation segment, which includes Coleman, Contigo, Campingaz and Marmot, saw revenues increase 24% to $304 million in the final quarter, compared to $249 million last year.
Revenues at the Swedish outdoor company’s brands division, which includes Fjällräven, Royal Robbins and Brunton, among others, increaased 33% in the fourth quarter to €51.1 million ($60.4 mm) from €38.4 million.
