Total sales were $101.8 million from May 3 through Jul. 14 compared to $112.4 million last year with brick-and-mortar sales down 37% to $60.7 million compared to $96.9 million, partially offset by a 166% increase in e-commerce sales to $41.2 million from $15.5 million.
The footwear maker’s sales slid 43% to $247.8 million in the second quarter from $435.4 million last year and it warned that the bottom line may fall into the red.
Adjusted sales for sporting goods/hobby/book and music stores jumped 21% to $8,257 million last month from $6,845 million in June 2019, and were up 27% from May, according to Commerce Dept. data.
