Active sales accelerated in Q3 with a 7% increase in apparel and a return to positive sales in footwear as the retailer continues to focus on the category as its main growth driver.
The multi-banner Japanese retailer reported comprehensive net income of ¥355 million ($3.3 mm) in the fiscal first quarter ended Sep. 30 against a loss of ¥382 million last year, as sales increased 6% to ¥57,683 million ($537.4 mm) from ¥54,261 million.
The camping products brand, which filed for bankruptcy a year ago, has been acquired by Pacific & Everest Lifestyle Company and will relaunch in Dec. with an e-commerce website and retail store in Portland, OR.
