The loss was $12,950,000 against a profit of $7,694,000 for the final quarter ended Dec. 31 as sales dipped 8% to $242,889,000 from $266,283,000 with comp store sales off 9.4% as a warm start to the winter selling season against a strong performance last year caused a nearly 50% decline in winter sports sales for the period.
Total comprehensive income at the Chinese footwear and apparel brand increased 6% for the year to RMB 2,696,001,000 ($398.9 mm) from RMB 2,553,862,000 on 25% higher sales at RMB 16,692,492,000 ($2,469.7 mm) compared to RMB 13,345,761,000.
Net income tumbled 71% to $2,802,000 from $9,813,000 in the fourth quarter pulled down by a one-time charge of $9.3 million related to the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, as revenues increased 9% to $121,093,000 from $111,555,000.
LUX saw net income jump 22% (+25% CC) for the year to €1,038 million ($1,170 mm) as total revenues climbed 1% (2% CC) to €9,157 million.
