Nike Reveals Broad Strategic Realignment and Layoffs


The Eager Beavertons’ executive shake-up will better align the company’s operating model with an even stronger emphasis on DTC, dubbed “Consumer Direct Acceleration,” announced last month when it reported full-year results. Michael Spillane, president of categories & product becomes president, consumer creation, overseeing three veteran executives elevated to run men’s, women’s and kids’, replacing the traditional category-driven structure. Amy Montagne moves from VP/GM, global categories to become VP/GM, men’s; Whitney Malkiel, most recently VP/GM, specialty categories moves to VP/GM, women’s; and McCallester Dowers was named VP/GM, kids’, from his previous role as VP/GM, kids’, North America.
