Shimano’s Net Dips 28% in H1


Net income at the Japanese bicycle component and fishing tackle company declined 28% to ¥6,904 million ($84.2 mm) versus ¥9,622 million for the six months ended June 30. Operating income was 12% lower at ¥15,244 million ($186.0 mm). H1 revenues inched up 2.6% to ¥107,134 million ($1.31 bb). By segment, bicycle components rolled to a 10% decline in operating income to ¥14,348 million ($175.0 mm) as revenues increased 3.3% to ¥84,262 million ($1.03 bb).
