Wolverine PFAS Settlement Approved, 3M to Pay $55 million
A U.S. district court approved WWW’s settlement with the state of Michigan and local authorities to remediate drinking water contamination from PFAS chemicals used in a since-closed tannery and other company-owned facilities there. The deal calls for Wolverine to pay $69.5 million over a multi-year period to extend the local municipal water system to serve 1,000 affected properties in Algoma and Plainfield Townships.
