The VFC executive is leaving the company, and taking the Eagle Creek bag and pack brand with him, according to a letter to employees sent by CEO Steve Rendle. Campbell has overseen Eagle Creek, along with JanSport, Smartwool and Altra, for the past year-and-a-half in his role as president of emerging brands, and when VF announced in June that it was seeking to sell or shutter the brand, he decided to put together an offer, Outside Business Journal reported. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
