U.S.-China Trade Talks Scheduled for October
After some initial hesitation about the terms of engagement, the two countries have agreed to hold high level talks in Oct. with deputy level talks preceding that in Sep. While there are no indications that either side is backing down on its demands and expectations for a quick resolution are low, it is at least a positive that neither side has stepped up its rhetoric and perhaps will confine the next round to addressing the issues that separate them rather than ratcheting up pressure on each other.
