Study: New Participants in Outdoor Sports Likely to Persist
The pandemic has shifted demographics among outdoor participants and leaves the door open for new consumer retention, according to the Outdoor Industry Association’s figures from Naxion Research. Participants in 2020 compared to 2019 were more likely to be female at 58% versus 49%; had an average age of 45 compared to 54; just 66% were white against 71%; more likely to be urban residents at 36% versus 29%.
