Shimano Net Rebounds But See Net Flat in 2019
Net income jumped 40% to ¥53,931 million ($489.5 mm) from ¥38,443 million for the year ended Dec. 31 as sales rose 4% to ¥348,035 million ($3,158.9 mm) from ¥335,800 million. In its initial forecast for 2019, Shimano predicted sales would improve 5% to ¥365 billion with net income attributable to shareholders essentially flat at ¥54 billion as a second half improvement offsets a weaker first half.
