Olin Cuts Ammo Production as Sales Falter
Winchester parent Olin Corp. said that ammunition sales dipped 18% to $320.0 million from $390.6 million in the final quarter due to decreasing demand that is now just replenishing at the rate of customer sales. Operating income plunged 55% to $45.7 million from $101.8 million last year, despite higher pricing.
