Nike Seeks to Add Counterfeiting, False Advertising to StockX Suit


The Eager Beavertons asked a NY District Court Judge to append counterfeiting claims and false advertising to the current trademark infringement suit against sneaker marketplace StockX over Nike-branded NFTs. Nike said it obtained four pairs of “authenticated” Swoosh branded shoes, from Dec. ’21 through the filing of the suit, that have been found to be counterfeit, even though those pairs were all purchased within a two-month period on StockX’s platform and had StockX’s “Verified Authentic” hangtag affixed to them, as well as a shoe box stating ...
