NCAA Will Change Rules on Athlete Compensation
Backing away from a long-held position in the face of legislative pressure, the governing body of college sports said it would implement new rules that will allow college athletes to profit from their images, names and likenesses. However, the specifics of what that would mean remain under study by an NCAA group and it has said that it wants to maintain a clear distinction between amateur and professional athletes.
