More Details Emerge in Case against Salazar
The investigation that led to last week’s announcement that the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency had suspended Nike Oregon Project coach Alberto Salazar and another doctor was instigated by whistle-blower testimony from insiders at the program. The New York Times reported that former Olympian Kara Goucher, who was herself a member of the Oregon Project, observed performances by Nike athletes including Mo Farah and Galen Rupp that she believed had to be the result of performance enhancing drugs.
