Moncler Sales Slip 15% in Q3 on Continued Covid Impacts


The Italian luxury outerwear brand improved sequentially in the crucially important third quarter, but revenues still declined 15% to €361,815,000 ($423.2 mm) from €425,042,000, and were down 14% constant currency. Retail sales fared worst, dropping 20% to €202.2 million despite double digit gains in DTC e-commerce, as results from reopening stores improved, especially in APAC and Americas. Wholesale was down 7% to €159.6 million, helped by strong sell-throughs from e-tailers. Moncler opened four owned stores in the quarter, ending with 217, and wholesale shop-in-shops were flat at 63.
