Mixed Messages Continue on Tariff Deferral Policy


President Trump has sent mixed signals on his administration’s proposed tariff easing after optimistic news emerged on an import duties deferral for Chinese goods. The plan, which seemed to be gaining momentum earlier this week, would be imposed via executive order. Trump told reporters “Well, that might be, but I’m going to have to approve the plan.
