Market Yawns as Golden State Takes Out Cleveland
Neither stock budged this morning as the Warriors finished off the Cavaliers in five games to take their second title in three years, but we think the narrative on the NBA is shifting back in Nike’s favor as Kevin Durant took home the playoff MVP Award rather than Under Armour’s Steph Curry and, of course, Nike still has LeBron and Kyrie in its stable. While Curry also turned in a strong performance for the playoffs, he did not dominate the conversation in the same way as he did in 2015 and leading up to the 2016 finals.
