Losses Grow at Signa Sports United
The net loss expanded to €36.7 million ($41.2 mm) in the fiscal second quarter ended Mar. 31 from a loss of €10.5 million last year, on 47% higher revenues of €268.7 million ($301.9 mm) up from €182.2 million. It was the first quarter with the full contribution from the WiggleCRC and Tennis Express acquisitions, which closed in Dec. Orders were up 55% to 2.2 million, but average order value slipped by 4% to €101.7 on a lower contribution from full-bikes. On a pro forma basis, Q2 tennis sales were up 33% and increased 25% in the bike segment.
