Kohl’s Says Active Was a Key Growth Driver in Q4


The department store’s active business grew mid-single digits in the final quarter, a sequential deceleration from 10% growth in Q3, but posted high-single-digit growth in 2018 overall and now represents about 20% of total sales. Nike, Under Armour and Adidas all were positive, and KSS called out fitness trackers, and particularly Fitbit, for strong Holiday sales. Active brands and styles drove sales for men’s and women’s apparel, while Vans, Koolaburra by Ugg and Clarks outperformed in footwear.
