Journeys Improves from Q3, but Still Comps Down
Genesco reported a 5% drop in Holiday sales for its Journeys banner in the eight weeks ended Dec. 26, with comps down 4%, but both metrics were better sequentially than the -10% sales and -6% comp it turned in for the third quarter. Across all its banners, GCO’s blended comp was down 3%, including a -14% brick-and-mortar comp partially offset by a 49% improvement in e-commerce sales. Store sales declined 21% overall.
