Japanese SG Companies See Nine-Month Sales Gains
At Goldwin, which controls The North Face and Helly Hansen brands in Japan, comprehensive net income for the nine months ended Dec. 31 gained 29% to ¥7,085 million ($64.2 mm) from ¥5,473 million on 23% higher sales of ¥63,706 million ($577.0 mm) vs. ¥51,774 million. Excluding a ¥1.4 billion negative swing in foreign exchange and other comprehensive items, net income was up 65% to ¥7,612 million.
