Goldwin, Japan’s North Face and Helly Hansen brand owner, reported a 23% increase in comprehensive net income for the fiscal year ended Mar. 31 to ¥8,386 million ($76.1 mm) vs. ¥6,823 million. Excluding a ¥2 billion negative swing in equity-method Korean affiliate Youngone Outdoor and other comprehensive items, the results were even better, gaining 79% to ¥9,243 million. The top line jumped 21% to ¥84,934 million ($770.7 mm) from ¥70,420 million, helped by strong sales of winter and outdoor apparel, including the newly added Woolrich brand.
