Iconix Narrows Q4 Loss on Fewer Impairments


Net loss narrowed in the final quarter to $14,144,000 from a loss of $93,029,000 prior, on licensing revenues that fell 22% to $33,888,000 from $43,178,000, as both periods were hit by trademark impairment charges. ICON took a $11.3 million charge this year for the Candies and Rampage trademarks, against a $65.6 million charge in Q4 ‘19 for Joe Boxer, Mudd, and Fieldcrest. Men’s revenue fell 35% on declines in Buffalo and Ecko Unltd, though Umbro was higher. Danskin was a bright sport for women’s, but revenue dropped 21% overall due to Mudd and London Fog.
