Himaraya Bounces Back in Q4, but Has Loss for Year


The Japanese retailer swung to a ¥789 million ($7.3 mm) loss in the fiscal year ended Aug. 31 from a profit of ¥587 million in the prior year, on a 13% falloff in revenue to ¥57,721 million ($534.5 mm) from ¥66,560 million. Revenues bounced back in the final quarter with consumers returning to retail stores, growing an implied 5% year-over-year driven by strong sales of golf equipment and outdoor gear.
