DSW Reports Strong Q3 But Doubts About Camuto Deal Linger


Net income leaped to $39,319,000 from $4,005,000 for the three months ended Nov. 3 on a 17% improvement in total revenue to $833,003,000 from $710,992,000 that was powered by a 7.3% comp store gain. The DSW stores in the U.S. had a 10% sales hike to $721,746,000 against $655,930,000 while the new Canadian operation added $80,072,000. The leased department business, due to store closures, fell 44% to $29,851,000 from $53,721,000. This year’s results included $16.3 million in charges related to shutting down the Shoe Town operation and $13.0 million in costs related to the Camuto acquisition. Last year’s results included ...
