Designer Brands Comps Higher in Q2


Net income was up 8% $46,213,000 in the second quarter from $42,860,000 on a 5% sales increase to $859,319,000 from $817,335,000, powered by a 6.2% same store sales gain on top of an +84.9% comp the prior year. DSW’s U.S. sales increased 2% to $734.1 million as stores comped up 2.7% (over +94.3%), while Canada continued its rebound from prolonged ’21 lockdowns with 36% sales growth to $78.3 million, comping up 47.3% (lapping +14.6%).
