Delta Profits in FQ3, but Labor and Inventory Shortages Hit Sales


Net income rebounded to $8,149,000 after last year’s $17,844,000 loss as sales jumped 65% to $118,666,000 from $71,801,000 for the fiscal third quarter ended Jul. 3, but the top line inched down from 2019’s $119,260,000. Wholesale powered the improvement, increasing 68% to $113.0 million, while DTC retail was up 199% to $3.5 million and DTC e-commerce slipped 50% to $2.1 million. Salt Life sales gained 157% to $16.1 over ’20 and were up 36% over ’19, with growth across all channels, including DTC retail up 250% over ’19.
