Delta Apparel Suffers as Hurricanes Hit Factories
Net income fell 4% to $883,000 in the fiscal first quarter ended Jan. 2 from $923,000 as revenue inched down 1% to $94,723,000 from $95,889,000, hit by major inventory constraints after two hurricanes hit DLA’s Central American manufacturing facilities. The Delta Group segment fell 1.5%, partially offset by 2.3% growth in the Salt Life Group segment. Salt Life DTC gained 60% in the quarter on 150% growth in its branded stores.
