Connected Fitness Battle Moves from Market Place to Court Room
Icon Health & Fitness has sued Peloton in DE federal court claiming that its new Bike+ design infringes on patents it has held dating back to The Super Show in the late 1990s, which cover remotely controlled resistance during a workout and the integration of weights and treadmills to provide an aerobic and anaerobic workout using a free weight cradle. The suit claims that PTON had sought to license the former patent when it was first starting out and was refused with a warning not to infringe.
