Columbia Outperforms in Q1 Despite Port Congestion


Net income in the first quarter was $55,900,000, up from just $213,000 a year ago, as the top line returned to growth, expanding 10% to $625,606,000 from $568,228 million, lapping the start of the pandemic last year. Direct-to-consumer sales grew 20% to $290.2 million, or 46% of total sales, including a 35% jump in digital and a 10% increase in brick-and-mortar, despite depressed traffic levels, especially in tourist areas.
