Centauro Posts Q4 Profit after Tough 2020


Brazil’s largest sporting goods retailer and Nike’s distributor there returned to the black in Q4, though the bottom line still fell 91% to BRL 14,593,000 ($2,830,800) against BRL 163,628,000 on revenue growth of 31% to BRL 1,398,503,000 ($271,291,000) over BRL 1,065,689,000. Grupo SBF, the parent company, started breaking out the Fisia Nike distributor business from Centauro, starting with Dec. ’20. Group results also include the NWB sport media segment. Centauro contributed BRL 1,182.3 million, up 11%, as a 1% decline in brick-and-mortar sales to BRL 876.8 million was offset by a 67% gain in digital sales to BRL 305.5 million, ...
