The acquisition of Cabela’s by Bass Pro hit another snag when Capital One, whose purchase of the credit card operation was part of the transaction, said on its earnings call that it would not be able to receive the necessary approvals from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency by the Oct. 3 deadline to complete the transaction. Capital One said within the next week that the application would either be denied or withdrawn.
