Big New Advance in Printed Midsole from Adidas
The Futurecraft unit of the Big a unveiled a new midsole that utilizes Continuous Liquid Interface Technology (CLIP) from a Silicon Valley company that dramatically speeds up the production process relative to tradition laser printed 3D technology but also is able in its current form to work with existing production resins rather than prototyping materials. The company said it will have about 300 pairs for friends and family later this month available but expects to be able to exceed 100,000 pairs by the end of 2018.
