Global sneaker sales roared back in 2021 after dropping 8.3% in the pandemic year, jumping 26.4% to $82,517 million from $65,297 million, with broad-based growth from all regions. Footwear sales lagged the booming equipment market in 2020, but sneaker demand still outpaced apparel sales, which took longer to recover.
