In a surprise turnabout, Japanese tennis star Naomi Osaka has signed a footwear and apparel sponsorship with The Swoosh, rather than extending her Adidas deal as was widely reported last Fall. Now it appears that she let the Adidas contract lapse at the end of 2018, though she has continued to wear the Three Stripes into this year. Uniqlo, which signed former Nike endorser Roger Federer last year, was also said to be in the mix for the U.S. Open winner.
