Academy Sports Moves Closer to Verdict in TX Supreme Court
ASO’s battle against several lawsuits brought by victims of the Sunderland Springs church shooting is nearing a judgment in the Texas Supreme Court, as both sides filed final exhibits supporting their arguments. The plaintiffs are trying to show that the Academy store in San Antonio broke the law by selling the shooter a Ruger AR-556 MSR with a standard, 30-round magazine, even though he was a resident of CO, where magazines with greater than a 10-round capacity are prohibited.
