Rebel Sports posted A$1.21 billion ($866.1 mm) in sales for the fiscal year ended July 2, a 1% improvement for the full year or down 0.6% without FY22’s 53rd week, as comps slipped 2.8% after a second half rebound from the 5.9% downturn in H1.
Sporting goods/hobby/book and music store adjusted sales increased 4% year-over-year in July to $9,218 million from $8,876 million, according to Commerce Dept. data, outpacing overall retail sales which were flat.
Gregory Mountain Products’ sales rebounded to 2019’s pre-pandemic revenues, growing by 7% to $34.9 million in the first half, from $32.7 million last year.
TJX’s outdoor banner added two more locations in the second quarter, ending the period with 62 doors.
