Net income rose 21% to RMB 1,470.9 million ($209.9 mm) from RMB 1,241.1 million for the six months ended Aug. 31 as sales gained 12% to RMB 16,957.6 million ($2,420.0 mm) from RMB 15,092.8 million, with the most recent results including listing expenses of RMB 50.7 million and amortization expenses from a business combination of RMB 13.4 million.
The apparel maker’s comprehensive net income attributable to shareholders nearly tripled to HK$74,526,000 ($9.5 mm) from HK$25,492,000 in the fiscal first half ended Sep. 30, as revenues expanded 28% to HK$1,891,994,000 ($241.6 mm) from HK$1,476,600,000.
Commercial revenue for the fiscal first quarter ended Sep. 30 was up 6% to £80.4 million ($99.1 mm) from £75.9 million last year, including an 8% gain in sponsorship revenue to £53.6 million and a 2% bump in retail, merchandising, apparel & product licensing revenue to £26.8 million.
Adjusted sales for sporting goods/hobby/book and music stores increased last month to $6,440 million from $6,424 million, according to Commerce Dept. data, the third straight month of improvement.
ICON and Jay-Z’s Roc Nation have settled their long running dispute over the Rocawear brand, with the licensing company agreeing to sell certain IP assets to that company for $15 million.
