Facing a rapidly evolving consumer and a marketplace where its key brand partners are relying less on wholesale, Foot Locker outlined a new five-year strategy for investors that involved leveraging its position as a key wholesale partner, hedging its bet with some proprietary efforts and a major effort to keep improving the customer experience both in stores and digitally.
Net income increased 81% to $10,629,000 for the final quarter over $5,888,000 last year, as revenue decreased slightly to $242,683,000 from $243,165,000 due to the 53rd week of operations in 2017.
The world’s largest bike maker returned to top line growth last year, powered largely by the growing worldwide demand for e-bikes, after two straight years of sales declined in 2017 and 2016.
Net income jumped 53% to €93,030,000 ($109.8 mm) in 2018 from €60,949,000 on 8% higher revenues of €634,138,000 ($748.7 million) up from €587,035,000 led by strong sales growth in North America and Asia.
