China’s largest domestic sneaker brand and Asian buyout group FountainVest Partners said they would pay €40 per share for the Finnish sports company that is the world’s largest maker of winter sports equipment and a rapidly diversifying company from its equipment roots into apparel and footwear.
In reporting pre-tax profit rose 19% to £121.9 million ($158.2 mm) from £102.7 million on a 35% improvement in revenue to £1,846.3 million ($2,395.4 mm) from £1,367.2 million, JD Sports said that Little Foot added sales of £180 million ($233.5 mm) and pre-tax income of £4.8 million ($6.2 mm) for the period from the closing Jun. 18 until the end of the half on Aug. 2.
The suit filed by Laborers Local 235 Benefit Fund was termed frivolous and without merit, and SKX said it would defend itself vigorously.
