Net profit improved 6 to $119,397 from $112,385,000 for the second quarter ended Aug. 4 as sales rose 1% to $2,177,488,000 from $2,156,911,000 that included a 4.0% comp decline adjusted for the calendar shift.
Net income was $9,689,000 in the second quarter ended Aug. 4 against a loss of $596,000 last year, as sales jumped 13% to $157,406,000 from $138,810,000 including a 4.4% positive comp and $12.3 million from the calendar shift.
The letter was prompted by the offering of numerous Black Diamond products on a new website launched by Walmart’s Moosejaw subsidiary on Walmart.com, which we first reported earlier this week.
The Munsingwear license, which had sales of ¥13.4 billion ($120.6 mm) for the last FY ended Mar. 2018, will be completely under the control of Descente beginning in Nov.
