The Australian retailer’s Sports division sales increased 3% to A$979.2 million ($741.3 mm) from A$949.2 million in the fiscal year ended Jun. 30, with EBIT inching up to A$91.5 million ($69.3 mm) from A$91.3 million.
Back-to-School shoppers had completed an average of 51% of their total shopping needs and Back-to-College shoppers had completed 52% of their shopping this year, up from 45% for both categories last year, according to a poll by the National Retail Federation conducted Aug. 1-10.
The TJX-owned omnichannel retailer opened one door in the second quarter, ending with 33 covering roughly 700,000 sq. ft. in addition to its online business.
