Red Mountain Capital Partners said in a public letter sent to DECK’s board it believes that a strategic or financial buyer would put a higher value on the company’s brands than its own operating plan would deliver.
The Japanese retailer narrowed its comprehensive net loss to ¥208 million ($1.9 million) from a loss of ¥469 million in the six months ended Feb. 28, on 4% higher sales at ¥35,557 million ($325.0 million) from ¥34,210 million.
